Daily journalist poached in radio station’s drive to increase UK reach

Gina DavidsonA daily’s political journalist has been poached by a radio station as it aims to strengthen its coverage away from its traditional London heartland.

LBC has announced the appointment of Gina Davidson in the new role of Scotland political editor.

Gina, pictured, joins the station after three years at The Scotsman, where she was deputy political editor and a columnist.

Her previous experience includes working at the Edinburgh Evening News, Press Association and a period in television.

Said Gina: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining LBC and the wider Global family.

“LBC has carved out a reputation for breaking big political stories and providing up to the minute political analysis for its listeners, and I am very excited to become part of the team.

“Scottish politics is never quiet and LBC has chosen a perfect moment to increase its brand of political coverage north of the border.”

LBC is available on the FM frequency in London and across the UK on DAB digital radio and TV.
