A publisher has launched two free apps which will enable users to access exclusive regional football news.

Reach plc has announced the launch of Yorkshire Football and North East Football, which will feature content produced by its sports journalists covering those areas.

The Football Yorkshire app will offer news about Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United and Huddersfield Town.

Football North East will feature content on Sunderland AFC, Newcastle United and Middlesbrough FC. Readers will able to filter the content according to which club they support.
