Independent publisher to launch new regional lifestyle magazine

An independent publisher is set to launch a new “practical guide to parenting” as it celebrates its third year in business.

DTS Media will publish lifestyle magazine Shropshire Family Voice this summer, containing features, articles and advice on all aspects of family life from health & well-being, fashion and family friendly recipes, to technology, safeguarding and the latest children’s book reviews.

Seven thousand copies of the magazine will be distributed prior to the school summer holidays, across Shrewsbury, Telford, Shifnal, Newport, Oswestry and surrounding areas.

The company says it is the first of a number of new titles it plans to launch in 2019.

Shropshire Family

HTFP reported in 2017 how David Lee-Birch and Tracy Leonard set up Oswestry Life after losing their jobs at Shropshire Review magazine, when its parent company Reviewmedia Ltd went into voluntary liquidation.

The pair subsequently launched their own company, called DTS Media, and have launched three titles – Oswestry Life, It’s Beautiful and the annual Oswestry Guide to Local Connections.

David told HTFP: “Shropshire Family Voice fits perfect into the business model of supporting local business and providing informative content to our readers.

“All publications have grown at a phenomenal rate, and we have exceeded all original goals and targets set.”
