Former daily editor sets up PR agency on old patch

A former regional daily editor has launched a public relations agency on his old patch.

Ex-Derby Telegraph editor Neil White has joined forces with David Leatt, managing director of marketing agency Three Sixty Media Group, to found Black & White PR.

Derby-based Black & White says it aims to help its clients succeed “while promoting passionately the area in which we live and work”.

Neil edited the Telegraph from 2012 to 2016.

He told Marketing Derby: “We have a potent combination of many years of experience combined with a huge drive to help make businesses and, consequently, the city of Derby, succeed.

“Of course, we can offer traditional PR services but we know that there is much more to effective public relations than writing press releases.

“We will promote companies in the right environment for them – ranging from print, digital and social media to word of mouth.

“David and I are also fervent advocates of the Derby Story. We are proud of the city’s 300-year history of thinking and making and believe that we have so many exciting businesses, big and small, with whom we can write the next chapter.”

David added: “Neil and I have common thoughts about the media and business environments and share a passion for Derby and Derbyshire.

“We have the connections in the city and in the wider [Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire] area which will make a difference to any company or organisation.”
