Manchester benefit and London attack dominate regional front pages

Regional dailies have splashed on the London Bridge terror attack while also celebrating the benefit concert held yesterday for those killed in Manchester two weeks ago.

The Manchester Evening News showed the crowd at the star-studded benefit on its front page today and hailed Ariana Grande, at whose concert 22 people were killed by a suicide bomber, as the ‘Queen of Love’ for organising the fundraising event.

There was also praise for the concert on the front pages of the Bristol Post and Eastern Daily Press, with the latter offering it up as proof that “we will never be broken” while offering four pages of coverage inside on Saturday’s night’s attack, in which seven victims lost their lives.

The Southern Daily Echo also focused on the London attack with the headline ‘We stand together’, accompanied by a photograph of a policeman standing by floral tributes to the victims.
