simon_keegan_newA former weekly newspaper editor has taken charge of a business magazine, describing it as his “greatest challenge and opportunity”.

Simon Keegan, left, has been unveiled as the new editor of the North West Business Insider magazine, bringing with him 19 years’ experience as a journalist.

During his career Simon has edited the Salford Advertiser, the Prestwich Advertiser and the Daily Mirror’s iPad edition.

He has also worked on the Stockport Express, the Big Issue, the Metro and the Express.

Said Simon: “It’s a tremendous honour to be joining North West Business Insider as editor and I very much look forward to developing the magazine and producing some great content.

“I have worked for several national newspapers, worked as a broadcast journalist for the BBC, edited weekly papers like the Salford Advertiser and managed production of magazines but this is undoubtedly my greatest challenge and opportunity.

“It is also an exciting time to be in business in the North West and I want to reflect this energy in the magazine.”

Simon begins his new role today.
