A group of 14 former Local World newspapers are to carry Trinity Mirror’s schools guide for the first time this year.
The company has announced it is to publish its biggest ever Real Schools Guide series, with regionalised supplements now set to run across 25 titles in the newly-enlarged group.
The guide, which will be published as a print product with a full breakdown of results per region, includes not just GCSE results but factors like value-added scores, pupil-teacher ratios and absence rates.
Compiled by Trinity Mirror’s central data unit, The Guide is overseen by Claire Miller, senior data journalist in the Trinity Mirror data unit.
Neil Benson, editorial director for Trinity Mirror Regionals, said: “The Real Schools Guide is now well-established as a vital resource for parents across England and Wales.
“It’s a huge piece of collaborative and original work which makes the most of Trinity Mirror’s wide-reaching portfolio.
“This year in particular, as we expanded the series across 24 titles, it’s brought the best out of our talented data unit and newsrooms.”
Supplements range in pagination from eight to 16 pages and will be published between now and 12 August. They will run in the following newspapers:
Birmingham Mail, Birmingham Post, Bristol Post, Cambridge News, The Chronicle, Newcastle, The Citizen, Gloucester, Coventry Telegraph, Derby Telegraph, Gloucestershire Echo, Grimsby Telegraph, Hull Daily Mail, Leicester Mercury, Liverpool Echo, Manchester Evening News, Nottingham Post, Plymouth Herald, North Wales Daily Post, South Wales Echo, South Wales Evening Post, Stoke Sentinel, Teesside Gazettte, Western Daily Press, Western Mail and Western Morning News.
