Editor’s cautionary children’s tale released as audio book

A regional daily editor who has written a series of children’s books which aim to tackle bad habits has has one of them released on iTunes.

Northern Echo editor Peter Barron had the first book in his Monstrous Morals series, Fartin’ Martin Sidebottom, released in 2012.

The book, subtitled ‘The boy who couldn’t stop breaking wind’, is now being released as an audio book on iTunes.

Five of Peter’s children’s books have been published in print so far from his series of books, which are aimed at 5-10-year-olds.

Peter tweeted: “Thrilled my first children’s book, Fartin’ Martin Sidebottom, is now an audio book on iTunes. Beware – rude noises!”

The other books published are Black-toothed Ruth Black, Fidgety Bridget Wrigglesworth, Nose-picking Nicholas Pickering and Messy Bessie Clutterbuck.

The sixth in the series, Daydreaming Daisy McCloud, is now with the publishers and is due in the shops by June.
