Publisher DC Thomson has appointed a new innovations editor to oversee the editorial development of new magazine launches in the children’s market,

Alexandria Turner, left, currently features editor of The Official Jacqueline Wilson Mag, will take up the position today.

Since joining DC Thomson in 2007, Alexandria has worked on a number of children’s titles for the company including Shout and most recently The Official Jacqueline Wilson Mag.

She said: “I’m thrilled to be offered this position. I have a passion for magazines and I’m looking forward to working with the Innovations team on future DC Thomson titles.”

DC Thomson’s head of publishing (consumer entertainment) Neil O’Brien said, “I’m absolutely delighted that Alex is going to be our next innovations editor.

“She has played a huge role in the success of The Official Jacqueline Wilson Mag and I’m looking forward to her making a similar impact on our innovations efforts.”
