Regional publisher Local World has promoted a learning and development manager to become its new head of training.

Nichola Glossop, left, has been promoted to the role with immediate effect and will be charged with co-ordinating all training activities within the company and implementing an effective training and development strategy.

The role will include identifying best practice and monitoring the quality of internal and external training provision, to ensure there is consistency across the group.

Local World HR director Graham Judge said: “This is a key appointment for Local World. Nichola is passionate about training and development and works hard to deliver real business benefit through the development of our people.
