A former Grimsby Telegraph reporter is among journalists from across the globe who are covering the latest police search for missing toddler Madeleine McCann.

Police are currently preparing to dig up wasteland 300 metres from where the little girl disappeared in 2007.

Among the journalists reporting from the search in Praia de Luz is former Telegraph reporter Lauren Turner.

Since leaving Grimsby, Lauren has worked for the Press Association in both the UK and Australia and now works as a broadcast journalist for BBC News.
