Trinity Mirror in partnership with car-fixing website

Trinity Mirror has launched a new service to help car owners find the best mechanics to fix their cars.

The publisher’s New Businesses Division has formed a partnership with WhoCanFixMyCar.com to offer the service, which aims to match up car owners who need work doing with the best value and highest quality garages.

The service, which is available nationwide, works by allowing users to specify what needs doing to their vehicles and then local garages can bid to do the work, allowing the car owner to select the best price, quality and location.

There are no charges for car owners or for mechanics to bid for work and fees are only applied for garages if they win the job.

Matt Colebourne, director of new businesses at Trinity Mirror, said “We are delighted with the service and the opportunities to serve our readers and advertisers. We have long felt that it was time to make this complex area simpler and easier for everyone.”

Ian Griffiths, WhoCanFixMyCar.com’s co-founder, said: “We believe in this concept and the new service and the partnership with Trinity Mirror will massively accelerate growth. I am looking forward to a busy time ahead.”
