An exhibition of award-winning press photographs from around the world has opened at the Scottish Parliament.

The World Press Photo exhibition is being hosted at the parliament building in Edinburgh until 25 August.

The display, which is open Monday to Saturday from 10am-8pm, features prize-winning photos from press photographers around the world from the annual World Press Photo contest.

All the images which won prizes will feature in the exhibition and other cities on the global tour include Tokyo, Ottawa, Buenos Aires and Istanbul.
