A new publisher has been named for a series of weekly newspapers which are now part of Local World.

Sharon Hobday, left, has been promoted to become publisher of LSN Media, which includes Bedfordshire on Sunday, MK News, Luton on Sunday, the Northampton Herald and Post and Bedford Midweek.

She replaces Jackie Bevan who leaves the company on Friday (7 June) to move to regional publisher Archant, after holding the role since February this year.

Sharon joined LSN Media last year, having previously run her own magazines in the Northamptonshire area.

LSN Media was previously part of Iliffe News and Media which merged with Northcliffe Media to form Local World in January.

Jackie has worked for the company since 2010, previously as commercial manager for Luton on Sunday, and before that worked as an advertising manager for regional publishers Johnston Press and Archant.
