A former online publisher at the Telegraph Media Group has joined Local World to develop its digital products.
Tim Rowell has joined the regional publisher as executive product director for digital, which is a newly-created role to grow the audience and advertiser base.
In the role, he will work with the Local World content and commerce teams to develop new digital products.
Tim spent five years as digital publisher for Telegraph.co.uk and then led the development of the Telegraph’s mobile strategy, with product launches on iPad, iPhone, Kindle and Android platforms.
He has also led the health information company Dr Foster Research, as well as running his own digital business Dextrous Labs.
Local World chief executive Steve Auckland said: “We’re delighted that Tim has joined the team. Our aim to produce first class print and digital products is enhanced by Tim’s considerable experience, especially in our fastest growing area, mobile.”
