Revenues down 9pc at Trinity Mirror Regionals

Revenues at Trinity Mirror’s regional newspaper titles have shown a 9pc year-on-year fall in regional revenues for the 17 weeks between 1 July and the end of October.

In an interim management statement published today, the group said its national and regional titles continued to perform broadly in line with the market.

The figures showed revenues at the regional titles fell by 9pc to £89m with advertising revenues down 13pc and circulation revenues down 6pc.   The statement said “minimal” cover price increases had partially mitigated the decline in volume of sales.

However digital revenues grew by 9pc on the regional titles compared with 8pc on the group’s national newspapers.
