Regional publisher launches hyperlocal glossy mag

Regional publisher Archant has launched a new glossy hyperlocal magazine for a well-to-do suburb of West London.

The company has published the first issue of The Fulham Resident, which will go out to 13,500 homes each month in selected areas of Fulham, with the publisher claiming to reach 89pc of the community.

The 68-page publication is a sister title to the long-established Resident magazine and content includes neighbourhood news, going out guides, education, people and health and beauty.

It also has high-profile contributors, including chef Marco Pierre White and national food writer Tom Parker Bowles.

Publishing director Sharon Kirby said: “The Fulham Resident marks a new beginning for us at Archant London and has been very well received by advertisers.

“The title is a product of the dedication, passion and drive our team has to produce market-leading titles that meet the needs of our audiences.”

The publication has a raised gold masthead which aims to help the magazine stand out from other titles in the competitive market.

Further magazine titles are now being planned by the Archant London team.

Editor-in-chief Vicky Mayer said: “We’re thrilled with our first issue and are looking forward to giving other local London audiences their own magazines which also meet these high standards.”
