The Dorset Echo has published a photographic record of the county’s Olympic year in book form.

Weymouth was the base for the Olympic sailing regatta this summer and provided Echo photographers with a series of stunning photo opportunities.

Now the best of them have been reproduced in Dorset: A Photographic Journey in an Olympic Year, which also features contributions from readers.

Group editor Toby Granville said: “With a section highlighting the greatest Olympic moments in Weymouth and Portland, this addition to our series makes an ideal Christmas gift or coffee table book, as a reminder of how lucky we are to live here.”
