Repeat win for UK’s top regional motoring writer

Oxford Mail motoring writer David Duffy has been named the best in the UK for the second year running.

David was named regional motoring journalist of the year by the Guild of Motoring Writer at its annual dinner at London’s RAC club.

A journalist of more than 30 years’ standing, David also writes on motoring and motorsport for the Oxford Times and other Newsquest Oxfordshire publications.

He is pictured below receiving the award from Andy Wertheim, left, general communications manager for Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, which sponsors the regional writers’ award.

Said David:  “I am honoured to pick up the award. It’s tremendous to get it for a second time.”

Toby Marshall, sales and marketing director of Mitsubishi Motors, added: “With a second successive award, David has proven that he can maintain his eye for innovation within the regional motoring sphere over the longer term, while not compromising on the standard and breadth of coverage.”
