The Reading Post is hosting a series of live web chats with local politicians from tomorrow.

Local Tory borough councillor Jamie Chowdhary is the first to step into the breach when he will answer questions directly from voters via getreading.co.uk.

Both local borough councillors and would-be MPs will be taking part in the online Q&A sessions.

Post deputy editor Hilary Scott said: “It’s a great chance to really quiz candidates on local and national issues and see how quickly they respond.

“It should also show how robust, or not, the different parties’ policies are – and how well the candidates are versed in them.”
