Two relative newcomers to the North-West media scene walked off with the big prizes at last night’s How-Do awards designed to honour creative talent in the region.
TheBusinessDesk.com marked its 18th month in existence by being named best media website, while Crains Manchester Business was joint winner in the newspaper category, alongside the Westmorland Gazette.
The judges praised Crains for its “increased advertising and strong editorial focus” and the Gazette for its “successful transition to compact format.”
The best magazine award went to Archant’s Lancashire Life.
More than 500 guests from across the North-West media industry attended the annual event at the Palace Hotel in Manchester.
