King's son signs up to paper's online festival

The son of the one of the world’s most famous authors will be chatting to readers of a local press website today.

Joe Hill, the son of prolific horror writer Stephen King, will be answering questions on the Liverpool Daily Post website from 1.30pm as part of the paper’s online literary festival.

Joe is in Liverpool today as part of a nationwide tour to promote his latest book Horns and will signing copies of it at a branch of Waterstone’s.

His full name is Joe Hillstrom King but he decided to use an abbreviated form so his work would be judged on its own merits.

The LiveRead festival is taking place every day this week online with Merseyside horror writer Ramsey Campbell, whose work inspired Stephen King, and former LDP editor Jane Wolstenholme among those taking part in live interviews and literary agents Bubblecow hosting a surgery for amateur writers.

So now everyone knows that this author is Stephen Kings son…kinda defeats the object of the anonymity of using “Joe Hill” surely??
