Former regional journalist to lead business mag

An award-winning former regional press journalist has been appointed as editor of a new quarterly business magazine.

Freelance writer and journalist Kenny Kemp has been chosen as the editor of BQ Scotland, which will publish its first edition in September.

Kenny was named the top business and financial writer at the Scottish Press Awards this year and has worked for the London Evening Standard, The Scotsman, and was also the founding business editor of the Sunday Herald.

BQ Scotland is produced by Room501 Publishing and already has editions in the North East of England and Yorkshire, celebrating the work and achievement of entrepreneurs.

Kenny said: “I’m delighted to be appointed the Scottish editor. BQ has already built a reputation for its great writing and the quality of its production.

“I know we can make BQ Scotland a must-read for business people in Scotland.

“The magazine will provide the inside track on what drives Scotland’s leading businesses, business people and entrepreneurs and will offer a unique and refreshing mix of business news and commentary from leading business people and profiles of Scotland’s most inspirational entrepreneurs.”
