Reporters writing about the European Union and EU policies can now enter the second European Parliament Prize for Journalism.
There are four prize categories on offer – press, internet, TV and radio – each of which carries a €5,000 prize.
Individuals or teams up to five people are eligible to enter reports which must have been published or broadcast between 1 May 2008 and 31 March 2009 in one of the official EU languages.
All candidates must be nationals or residents of an EU Member state and a registered journalist.
The judging panel will select a UK winner in each of the four categories and there will also be four overall EU-wide winners.
The BBC programme The Record Europe was a joint winner of the TV prize last year.
