Primate takes bite out of photographer's head

A press photographer got more than he bargained for on a picture assignment at a wildlife centre.

Oliver Sanders, from Exeter’s Express and Echo, came under attack from a hungry lemur who took a bite out of his head when he went to snap the primate.

Oliver said: “We seemed to get on very well. Although he bit the hand of his handler, he jumped on my shoulder and seemed initially to be quite friendly.

“Then he bit me on the head. It was quite a sharp pain and it bled a bit but I kept on taking pictures.

“I checked my tetanus jab to make sure I was still covered and I don’t seem to be frothing at the mouth.

“The lemur and I parted on good terms!”
