Printers at the Kent Messenger Group are celebrating after winning an industry award for the quality of their work.

The company took home the prize for best printed colour page produced on a Goss double width press at the European Goss Users Conference, in Dublin.

The winning entry was the front page of the Medway Messenger Sports supplement in March.

KM Group’s quality assurance manager Roy Bourner was there to collect the award.

Goss users from all over Europe were invited to submit up to three samples of three different colour pages taken from a production run.

Operations director Duncan Gray said: “We held a presentation for all the printing team to congratulate them on the standards of printing that they have achieved and to thank them for their continued efforts in improving consistent quality in our publications.”
