Entry form is online for the EDF Energy South West Media Awards 2008

The entry form is now online for the EDF Energy South West Media Awards 2008.

We’re looking forward to a cracking summer awards event in the westcountry to reward the best in the west with prizes for their journalism.

Whether you are a writer, photographer, presenter or broadcast journalist, these are the awards for you.

The EDF Energy South West Media Awards cover Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Bath, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.

Sponsored by EDF Energy, and run in conjunction with holdthefrontpage, they offer cash prizes for individual winners, and trophies for company entries.

The entry form can be downloaded here so print it out and get your entry in before the April 4 deadline. It will need to be signed by a senior editorial executive. If your form is not signed, it may not go forward for judging.

There are 19 categories to choose from and we hope all branches of the local media will embrace the competition with the same enthusiasm and dynamism with which they carry out their day-to-day work.

The competition categories are spread across the whole range of regional journalists’ work – including writers, designers, photographers and broadcasters – and each carries the opportunity for regional prestige.

The judging panel is being selected by holdthefrontpage and will be made up of senior regional journalists and broadcasters.

They will look at work in each of the categories:
