Journalists are being given the chance to brush up on their investigative reporting skills at a three-day summer school later this year.

Training will be provided in Computer Assisted Reporting and Advanced Internet Research, by leading practitioners from the New York Times and the US National Institute for Computer Assisted Reporting.

There will also be workshops, seminars and talks on subjects such as investigating business and finance, new developments in media law and using the Freedom of Information Act.

The summer school will be held from July 21 to 23 at City University in central London.

Speakers include Seymour Hersh, Anna Politkovskaia, Phillip Knightley, and 20 other investigative reporters from Britain and abroad.
