Journalism professors to boost uni's offering

Two award-winning journalists have been appointed as visiting professors of the University of Lincoln.

Bridget Kendall, diplomatic correspondent at the BBC, and the former Sunday Times special correspondent Phillip Knightley have joined the Lincoln School of Journalism.

Professors Kendall and Knightley will join other big names such as Dorothy Byrne, head of Channel Four News and Current Affairs, and John Bird, founder of The Big Issue, as visiting professors at the Lincoln School of Journalism.

“It is evidence of the growing status of the Lincoln School of Journalism that such eminent journalists are happy to be associated with the university,” said Richard Keeble, Professor of Journalism at the University of Lincoln.

“We look forward to both these top journalists putting their vast experience to the benefit of students in the school.”
