Richard Garfield was recently tasked with arduous task of spending time in watering holes throughout the town as part of the paper’s new Pub Life supplement.

However Richard, who joined the paper as a trainee in 2001, has thrown himself whole-heartedly into the role which requires him to generate a four-page supplement on a different pub each month.

Gazette Editor Mark Jones said: “We are hoping that Pub Life will give a sales boost to our Monday edition.

“In turn, Richard’s visits seem to be boosting beer sales at the pubs!”
