Where are they now?Ron Eyley

We’re still keen to track down the names of people in the regional press throughout the country for our extensive Who’s Who.

It is some 4,500-strong now and we’re still adding the details of people who’ve moved out of the regional newspaper industry so that you can keep track of them.

And with a little help from our readers, HoldTheFrontPage is trying to track down a few of the big-hitters you might remember from your days as a trainee – and see how they’re faring away from their former life of headlines and deadlines.

Ron Eyley, known to hundreds of trainee reporters as their guru from Richmond/ Stradbroke college, is the second in our occasional series.

He left Sheffield in 1993 and went on to form Peak Media Services, a PR firm based in Bakewell. He’s also a Rotarian who’s won the organisation’s highest honour and is looking forward to travelling the world.

Did you know him? Was he your old tutor?
