Readers are flocking to websites run by Archant Hertfordshire – to answer personal questions about themselves.

The group’s web team have found that questions such as ‘Do you eat your dinner at a table?’, ‘Do you wear a bum bag on holiday?’ and ‘Do you own more trainers than shoes?’, are pushing the right buttons for visitors to www.herts24.co.uk.

Last month the most popular section of the website – which includes news from the Herts Advertiser, Welwyn and Hatfield Times, Stevenage Herald and The Comet – was the quiz section

During February visitors were invited to take test to decide ‘How Posh Are You?’, ‘How Chav Are You?’ , ‘How Stevenage Are You?’, ‘How Much of a Geek Are You?’ and ‘How Harpenden Are You?’.

The most popular quiz, the localised ‘How Stevenage Are You?’, produced almost 20,000 page impressions in February alone.

Editors throughout Archant Herts have now been tasked with the job of creating a quiz local to their areas.

Web editor Sam Newby-Ricci said: “We could never have guessed how popular the quizzes were going to be – we just thought that it was a bit of fun.

“It just shows that something as simple as these quizzes can really improve website statistics.”
