The secret behind Tony Chestnut

An evening paper and its website are throwing themselves into the football fever generated by England’s improving World Cup bid by showing readers how to master all those fancy football tricks.

Logging into the Norwich Evening News site at www.eveningnews24.co.uk can show you how to become a better player.

It’s down to a team effort from the Evening News, Norfolk County Football Association, and Norwich City FC’s Football in the Community scheme.

It uses the tricks of the web to teach you the tricks of the game, showing you the moves on video and suggesting a full training package.

“You can learn how to neck catch from a throw, study the moves required for a Tony Chestnut, and what two-touch passing should look like,” the website says.

“Each week on Wednesday you will find new moves in the Evening News paper and we will be adding new tricks to the EveningNews24 website.”

The first week’s tips included the neck catch, flick, a Tony Chestnut (toe-knee-chest-nut), the seal man and two-touch passing.

It is the latest move in the company’s support of the local game.

The Evening News and the award-winning Pink ‘Un paper sponsor the Youth Combination, the Norwich Sunday Football League and the NCFC Football in the Community scheme.
