Telegraph HQ is on the move

The Scunthorpe Telegraph has revealed plans to move from its home of 50 years to new premises in a new office development in the town.

The £300,000 investment by the newspaper – and parent company Northcliffe – will safeguard 70 jobs and assure the paper’s long-term future in the town.

The Telegraph has been bringing the news to Scunthorpe residents for the past 64 years.

The Scunthorpe Telegraph and Target move will take place on Monday December 17, when the advertising, editorial, newspaper sales and reception operations will switch to the new site.

Managing director of Grimsby and Scunthorpe Newspapers, Mike Wood, said: “The decision to move to Park Square is both a commitment to and a gesture of faith in the future of the newspaper, the town and the other communities we serve in this region.

“The Scunthorpe Telegraph has been around since 1937 and we plan to be publishing a full range of information services for at least the next 65 years.”
