Staff at the Yorkshire Post raised a glass to its success earlier this week at a party held to mark its 250th anniversary.
More than 150 employees, including van drivers, production, advertising, editorial and sales staff, gathered on the concourse inside the Post’s Wellington Street for the celebration.
During the evening guests enjoyed food, wine, and a specially-made anniversary cake.
They also heard a speech from managing director Chris Green, who thanked staff for their hard work and paid tribute to the paper’s great achievement in having reached 250 and continuing to flourish.
The event followed a series of in-paper celebrations, which included a a 20-page supplement looking back at the history of the paper which was founded in 1754 as the Leeds Intelligencer.
