Revamp boosts Oxford's online offer

Newsquest Oxfordshire’s website, thisisoxfordshire.co.uk has been relaunched with a fresh look and some great new features.

Oxford took the opportunity to update the design and add some new content as part of a nation-wide revamp of Newsquest sites.

Additions include:

  • New reader forums for the News, Sport, Education and What’s On sections, plus a Find Old Friends forum;
  • A comprehensive About Us section, helping users contact the right departments, read up on advertising opportunities and even subscribe to newspapers online;
  • A reorganised Sport channel, enabling fans of particular sports to find their preferred content swiftly;
  • More information for residents and visitors than ever before.

    The updated site went live this week with the help of Adam Rice and his team at Newsquest Digital Media in Blackburn.

    Oxford Mail deputy editor Andy Chatfield co-ordinated the re-launch. The new site was created by web developer David McManus, web assistant Lisa Leighton, sub-editor Colin McBride and digital media sales manager Trudy Thomson.
