Reporter "volunteered" into charity jail term

Reporter Robert Wilkinson has “volunteered” to be locked up at Oxford police station in aid of a deafblind charity.

  • Making a break
  • Of course, being arrested, bundled into a police van and thrown into a cell is not the best way to start yourday – unless it’s all for charity.

This is the fate awaiting the Oxford Courier’s Robert on Wednesday when Her Majesty’s Constabulary will ‘arrest’ him.

The paper, along with its sister South Oxfordshire Courier, is appealing to readers to help raise £500 bail money and bring a swift end to his misery.

All funds donated will go towards Deafblind UK, a charity helping thousands who suffer from hearing or visual problems.
