The Shropshire Star is encouraging people to chat using its new online forums.

The latest addition to the newspaper’s website enables readers to have their say and find out what other readers think.

Currently the main focus is the Farmers’ Forum, which aims to keep farmers struggling through the foot and mouth crisis to stay in touch with each other.

It also has a section for details of events and attractions closed due to the outbreak of the disease.

There are other forums too covering every aspect fo the community and even an “Ex-Pat chat” forum for those no longer living in the area but wanting to keep in touch.

Readers must complete a registration process before being able to use the forums and the newspaper are open to suggestions new forum subjects.
