Presenter broadcasts from Telegraph's offices

The Coventry Evening Telegraph made its own headlines when a local radio presenter visited its offices to present his morning show.

Ed Doolan, from BBC WM, chatted to reporters, press room operators and editor Alan Kirby to find out how the newspaper is produced.

Mr Kirby said: “We were delighted that BBC WM chose to broadcast from the Evening Telegraph offices.

“I hope it helped to explain the teamwork that is involved in producing the paper every day.”

The visit was part of a tour of local newspapers by the radio station, which also included the Birmingham Post, Birmingham Evening Mail and the Sunday Mercury.

Mr Doolan said: “It was fascinating to meet so many people of different disciplines who come together to make up a newspaper.”
