A 32-page supplement to celebrate the success of the Eden Project in Cornwall has been published by the Western Daily Press.
It looks at the history of the popular tourist attraction near St Austell, its origins, and explores what makes it a success.


A charity auction has raised £1,000 to help sick and needy children in Cornwall.
The money will be divided between the Cornish Guardian’s Centenary Appeal, which is trying to raise £30,000 for a children’s sleep monitor at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, and the NSPCC Cornwall branch.


A new trail marking the life of poet and former South Wales Evening Post reporter Dylan Thomas has been unveiled in Swansea.A series of stained glass pieces representing examples of his work are on show in a glass case embedded in the floor outside the Dylan Thomas Centre.
The work is the first in the series of pieces marking places in the city that were prominent in the poet’s life and another, sponsored by the Evening Post, is planned soon.


A couple have married two years after their love blossomed through the columns of the Norwich Evening News.
Karen Hanson and James Colvin met through the paper’s dating service, Partners, in July 2000 and wrote a letter to the paper to say thank you for helping them meet.
