The East Anglian Daily Times and Evening Star, Ipswich, have teamed up with Anglia Railways in a new sponsorship deal which is part of a £3m investment by the train operator at Ipswich station.
The sponsorship provides a welcome sign at the station for visitors arriving by train “Welcome to Ipswich, home of the East Anglian Daily Times” and a farewell wish from the Evening Star as they leave, as well as landscaping and remodeling.


The Oxford Mail has helped secure an improved bus service for residents of east Oxford.
The No18 bus, which runs into Oxford city centre, will now make four journeys a day, instead of two, following a campaign in the Oxford Mail and pressure from Oxford city councillor Gill Sanders.
The Oxford Bus Company route, which is subsidised by the county council, is a vital service for elderly residents but last year was scrapped for six months because it was not commercially viable.


Youngsters are thanking the Portsmouth News for helping them save a play area threatened with closure.

The money will convert part of the hospital into a centre where the parents and children can learn the skills they will need to make coping with life at home easier.
