The Northamptonshire Evening Telegraph is set to open a new office in Wellingborough after local planners gave permission for the move.
A former butchers’ shop will be used as a newspaper office and Coun Peter Morrall said of the proposal: “The Evening Telegraph is an important part of our community and this would put them right back in the heart of the community.”


Ground Force TV star Tommy Walsh proved a hit with the ladies when he was asked to hand out Eastern Daily Press and Norwich Evening News goodie bags at a garden event in Norfolk.
The stunt proved a success for the parent company Archant, which saw an extra 1,065 copies of the EDP and 810 copies of the Evening News sold.
