New twist in big cat tale

The hunt for the mystery black beast of Gloucestershire has taken a new twist with sightings of a massive ginger-coloured creature, the Western Daily Press has reported.

A local woman told police she had seen the animal, which matched the description of a lynx wildcat with pointed ears and a long tail, walking past her Fairford home late at night. She said it was far too big to have been a fox.

Police sent out trackers after the woman’s report came in, and are now liaising with Ministry of Defence officials based at nearby Fairford airbase in the hunt for the beast.
