New editor for London's Times Series

Clare Bourke is to become the new editor of the Times Series in London.

Currently editor of Review and Observer Newspapers in St Albans, in her new role she will be responsible for the Harrow Times, Ealing Times and Hillingdon & Uxbridge Times.

She will take up her new post on December 4, succeeding Charlie Harris.

Clare was appointed editor of Review and Observer Newspapers in 2004, having previously been deputy editor of the Bucks Free Press.

She had spent five years at the Free Press and Times Group in High Wycombe, joining as deputy news editor and then becoming news editor and group news editor.

At the time, the Ealing Times and Hillingdon Times were part of the group in High Wycombe, before moving to join the Harrow Times in Watford and forming the Times Series.

Clare began her career at the Bury Free Press.

Before becoming editor of the Times Series, Charlie had edited the Harrow Times for six years in two separate stints, firstly as launch editor in 1997 and then rejoining the paper in 2003 after a break to edit a group of magazines owned by Newsquest.

Prior to that he was editorial manager for the Hendon Times group, deputy editor of the Watford Free Observer and deputy editor of the South Bucks Star.

He has also edited the Borehamwood Times and began his career on the Palmers Green and Southgate Gazette.

Both the Ealing Times and Hillingdon Times are free weeklies, while the Harrow Times has a small paid-for circulation in addition to being free. The series has an overall distribution of around 175,000.
