Limited Edition passes the half-million mark

Newsquest has gone over the half-million mark with the publication of three more editions of its classy lifestyle magazine Limited Edition.

Basingstoke, Taunton and Salisbury, from the group’s South West Region, are the latest centres to publish a version of the magazine, which makes the group’s total monthly distribution in excess of 500,000.

There was collaboration between the three editors of the South West titles over the design and front page of the magazine but much of the content comes from locally-sourced material.

Basingstoke marked its launch with a special party at the town’s Milestones museum.

Bill Browne, editor of The Gazette, said: “We decided to make a fun night by issuing a general invitation to staff as well as many of our key contacts.

“The museum is a great venue and the evening went with an extra swing thanks to music from The Good Fortunes, a band that includes The Gazette’s chief sub-editor Deanne Goldsworthy and circulation representative Clive Fortune.”

Taunton’s Limited Edition was launched at a prestige reception held in the Penthouse Suite of the town’s Castle Hotel.

More than 40 guests from local industry, commerce, tourism and media attended the event – and enjoyed champagne and canapes including a special Limited Edition creation by the Castle’s head chef Richard Guest.
