Let's face the music…

It’s time to start working on your waltz – as the Evening Post prepares to go tea dancing again.

Hundreds of people stepped back in time for last year’s Nottingham Palais events and another bygones event has been lined up because of the huge demand.

The backdrop of lights and bars that normally thud to the sounds of dance music for clubbers will be transformed to the more sedate pace of foxtrot, quick-step and cha-cha.

The Post will also be putting on a showing of its new video Nottingham Through The Ages for people taking a breather between numbers.

And it will be sending along a photographer to capture the occasion for a special feature.

Post editor Graham Glen said: “The popularity of these events is reflected in the continuing success of our Bygones series, which provides so many readers with wonderful moments of nostalgia.”
