Leslie retires after 28 years on the Bugle

One of the longest serving members of staff at the Black Country Bugle has retired.

Leslie Morris worked at the newspaper for 28 years, joining in 1973 when the paper was just a year old.

As the Bugle was so small in the early days, Leslie had to be a jack-of-all-trades, working as a photographer and graphic designer, and also delivering copies of the papers to local newsagents.

One of his main jobs was as a photographer for the paper’s popular Bugle Beauty feature, featuring local glamour.

Leslie plans to use his retirement to spend more time with his family and is also actively involved with his local church.
