Keep Kerry in the jungle!

Kerry McFadden should stay in the jungle – that’s the view of the Warrington Guardian, which has launched a campaign to keep her in a reality TV show.

The cry-baby has emerged as the favourite to be first to be given the boot from the show I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here!, where contestants have to live in the Australian forests for a fortnight.

For readers of the Warrington Guardian, it’s more a case of “She’s A Celebrity – Keep Her In There!”

The Newsquest title’s campaign wants readers to vote to keep the ex-Atomic Kitten star, who hails from the Cheshire town and is now married to Westlife singer Bryan McFadden, in the show.

A major poster campaign is under way across Warrington, and readers can log on to the paper’s website to read a daily diary of Kerry’s antics, written by the Guardian’s web editor Emma Stewart, and vote for the first person they want out of the programme.

  • The Warrington Guardian’s campaign has the support of Kerry’s mum, Sue Katona, who lives in the town.

She said: “Don’t misinterpret Kerry – she may have been crying at the beginning, but she knew what she was letting herself in for and she will be strong. Please, please vote for her.”
