Hair of the dog

Ever wondered how to get the best out of a city’s nightlife?

The problem is being taken out of revellers’ hands in Nottingham where the Evening Post has linked up with other groups to produce Hair of the Dog

The one-off publication offers residents and visitors a valuable guide to the city’s booming pub, club and restaurant scene.

Some 40,000 copies are being distributed.

Post deputy editor Jon Grubb said: “We and our publishing partners are promoting one of the city’s great strengths.

“Nightlife is not a sideshow in Nottingham but a vital element of the urban economy – one with growth potential.

“We do nightlife better than any other city.”

The guide gives a detailed description of each venue as well as essential information about the type of clientele, opening times, disabled access and whether it serves food.

The backers are hoping for success to match a previous publication, The Dirty Stop-outs Guide.
