Editor leaves Wiltshire Times

The Wiltshire Times is looking for a new editor after Steve White left the company after almost three years at the helm.

During that time the paper successfully converted from broadsheet to tabloid and the circulation saw an increase of more than three per cent each year.

Mark Suddaby, managing director of Newsquest (Wiltshire) said: “I would like to thank Steve for his contribution during the past two-and-a-half years.

“The Wiltshire Times is an excellent local newspaper and I am confident that it will continue to go from strength to strength.

“We have now started the process of appointing a new editor.”

Deputy editor Keith Gale is currently acting editor at the 19,390-circulation weekly series.

The newspaper covers West Wiltshire, including the towns of Bradford on Avon, Melksham, Trowbridge, Warminster and Westbury.

Its sister paper, the Chippenham News, is distributed in North Wiltshire, including to Chippenham, Corsham and Box.
